Tranum beach is a family friendly and car free beach with historic traces and fun summer activities.
A beach with a history
Tranum beach is a lovely, broad beach, almost free of pebbles and stones. The beach is shielded by lyme grass covered dunes, where it is easy to find shelter from the wind.
Besides being a beach where you can go for a swim or embark in various beach activities, there are also great wind surfing conditions.
At the northern part of the beach, you'll find two bunkers which help to indicate that the west coast used to be covered with bunkers during Second World War.
Each week during the Danish school summer holiday, families can take part in the sand sculpture competitions at the beach - a fun activity, where you can show off your creative skills. The nearby holiday centre Tranum Klit Feriehotel organises the events.
Close to the beach, you also find Tranum Strandgård, where you can experience exhibitions and at times take part in creative workshops.
